Meet Kirsty  (Coach K)

ABOUT

Hey, I’m Kirsty! I’ve been in love with working out since the first time I picked up a weight when I was 16 years old. Now, here I am over 10 years later, with more knowledge and passion for exercise than ever before. I graduated from Mount Royal University back in 2015 where I got my formal education in training and obtained my CSEP-CPT (the gold standard for training certifications in Canada).  

 

For the past eight years, I’ve had the privilege of coaching people on their transformative fitness journeys, igniting a passion within them for health and wellness. It lights me up when I reach a point with my clients where they discover that daily exercise and wellness practices aren’t a dreaded chore, but they are sustainable lifestyle choices that promise long-term vitality and fulfillment.

My online training option is for anyone who wants to prioritize fitness, but needs an extremely flexible schedule

 

Your transformative journey will take place mainly through the True Coach app with:

  • Detailed instructional videos to eliminate guesswork

  • Assigned parameters for each exercise: sets, reps, tempo, and intensity specified 

  • Form coaching with the ability to upload videos of your form

  • Personalized feedback provided for each exercise

 

This way guidance, motivation, and support are conveniently delivered to your fingertips. 

In-Person Training

My in-person training option is for anyone who wants to get in the gym 1:1 with me for extra motivation and support.


All in-person training includes use of the True Coach app as well as Explore More YYC, a private gym. In-person sessions are done privately to create a personalized experience completely focused on acheiving your goals.

This makes 1:1 coaching so simple and accessible, it’s almost impossible not to reach your goals.

  • What are the benefits of working with an online fitness coach?
    Reaching specific fitness goals quickly and effectively, while also creating a sustainable fitness plan that will stay with you for a lifetime, is not an easy task. What works really well for one person may hinder another person from achieving their unique fitness goals because we are all so different. Your fitness plan needs to be effective for YOU. Certified personal trainers have the expertise and knowledge to develop a unique fitness program tailored to you, to help you reach your goals much faster and more effectively than if you were to go at it alone. A coach’s plan goes beyond general advice, it adapts and tailors to your life, educates you on what you actually need to focus on, and holds you accountable through discipline and support.
  • How long does it take to see results?
    Everyone is different in regards to how they respond to fitness programs. It takes over one month to develop a habit and about 66 days to incorporate a new change into your daily routine. You won’t see results overnight, it takes time to unlearn poor habits that have been developing for years and introduce new, healthy habits. This is why I have a 6 month minimum coaching requirement. I don’t believe in quick fixes, I believe in sustainable lifestyle changes and long term benefits.
  • How much does online coaching cost?
    The cost of my program is dependent on what I think will work best for each individual and their unique lifestyle and budget. This way, we can go over all of the possible options and pick a plan that best suits you.
